Drop-In Center -  Peer Support

Montgomery County Project S.H.A.R.E.,  a project of the Mental Health Association of Southeastern Pennsylvania (MHASP),  and funded by the County Office of Mental Health, has been in operation since  1988, serving people with mental health disabilities in Montgomery County.

A non-governmental citizen's advocacy organization since  1951, MHASP advocates for better services and treatment for people with mental illness, as well as promoting research and education to prevent mental illness. Under the auspices of MHASP, Montgomery County Project S.H.A.R.E. provides a centralized location for:

• Referral and information about county mental health services, current topics of interest and other supportive resources.
• Self-Help and support group meetings covering a wide spectrum of mental health related topics and issues.
• Social and recreational activities, including games and tournaments, parties, crafts, classes television, music, and movies.
• Vocationally oriented supports including one-to-one peer counseling, goal oriented self help programs, job seeking and job maintenance training and preparation resources.
• Individual, system and community advocacy, education and outreach efforts.
