The Managed Behavioral Care Organization for Montgomery County

Magellan works with Montgomery County to manage mental health and/or drug or alcohol services for people on Medical Assistance.

Call Magellan if you have a problem like depression, substance abuse, or serious mental illness, or if you have a child who has an emotional or behavior problem or uses drugs or alcohol.  At times, talking to friends or family members can help you work out a problem. Sometimes, talking to a friend or relative is not enough. That is when you should call Magellan at (877) 769-9782 or (877) 769-9783 (TDD). These are toll free numbers. Magellan is open  24  hours per day.

Magellan has staff who speak languages other than English. We have translators to work with you.

Magellan arranges for services that are close to your home whenever possible. We want to make it easy for you to get the help you need.

• Outpatient counseling for mental illness or alcohol or drug problems
• Partial Hospitalization for mental illness or alcohol or drug problems
• Intensive Case Management
• Resource Coordination
• Non-Hospital Residential Drug or Alcohol Detoxification and Rehabilitation
• Half-Way Houses
• Methadone and LAMM medications, plus support for medication use
• Laboratory and Clozapine Support Services
