Residential Services - Our vision for people with developmental disabilities is that they have the opportunity to be active members of their local neighborhoods, to work, belong and contribute to their communities. We believe that they should have the opportunity to be involved in choosing where they live and with whom they live. Our community homes, supported living, and companion and family living programs give people options for where and how they will live their lives. Our goals are to assist individuals to live in a "self-determined" manner and to have the same quality of life as others in their community.
Support Services - Sometimes people need a little extra help to meet their goals and achieve their dreams. Our support services help people with disabilities build bridges to living and working in their communities. Some of the ways we help people connect is through assisting them to belong to a local church or synagogue, club or organization, take part in local educational opportunities and be involved in paid and volunteer work experiences. In addition, we assist people in learning new skills and developing their own circle of friends. We recognize the importance of family to each individual we serve and we have an understanding of the unique needs of families of special children. We offer support and opportunities for respite and other helpful resources. We also seek to help families plan for their children's future.
Children's Services - Providing a safe environment for children with emotional and behavioral concerns is our primary concern. We work with the child and the family to build bridges of stability and structure within a nurturing home. Sometimes this means that the child temporarily moves to a foster home, during which time the child and family can be stabilized. Our goals are to reunite the family whenever possible and to provide the young person with the skills he or she needs as they transition to adulthood.
Clinical Services - Children and adults going through difficult times, who may be in the midst of crisis, or who may have chronic conditions, can receive help to remain in their community and maintain a healthy lifestyle. We assist people through counseling and planning. The goal of this process is to create workable solutions for each person and his or her family, which include effective counseling, medication management minimizing the need for hospitalization.
